The swing motor converts hydraulic pressure into rotational movement. The swing reduction, also called the swing gearbox or reduction gearbox, reduces motor speed and increases torque before transferring movement to the excavator’s upper structure.
These components work together as part of the excavator swing system. Depending on the machine, specification and component failure, they may be supplied as a complete assembly or as separate replacement parts.
